Description:
Lunar regolith particle size separation and classification is a critical step to prepare feedstock for downstream lunar ISRU applications. A conical particle separation system has been adapted from prior studies to further investigate its applicability for lunar surface operation. To validate its mechanism in lunar gravity, the PARTICLE (Performance Assessment of Regolith sorTing In Controlled Lunar-like Environment) experiment was developed and tested on the 88th ESA Parabolic Flight Campaign in November 2025. In this session, we will explain our scientific objectives, the design rationale of our experiment hardware, and operational procedures.
